Good Margin is a calculator, not a service. We don't run servers that hold your data, we don't sell anything, and we don't have a login. Here is the short version, then the details.
Every product card you create — names, costs, freight, duties, retail prices, VAT settings, currency, notes — is stored locally in iOS storage. It never leaves your phone unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync, in which case it is encrypted by Apple and stored in your own iCloud account.
We don't have access to your iCloud. We don't have a server that sees your numbers. There is no "export to our cloud" feature.
No account. No email address. No phone number. No name. No device identifiers. No advertising ID. No location. No analytics. No crash reporting beyond Apple's own opt‑in App Analytics, which is aggregated and anonymous on Apple's side — we receive only counts.
To convert currencies, the app fetches exchange rates from the European Central Bank via the public Frankfurter API. It sends nothing about you and nothing about your products — only the request "give me today's rates."
Rates are cached on your device for one hour; if you're offline, the last cached set is used. You can disable auto‑refresh in Settings.
Good Margin is a one‑time purchase on the App Store. Apple handles the transaction; we receive a receipt that says a purchase was made, never your card or billing details.
Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing on our side to export, correct or delete. To remove all your data from the app, delete the app — iOS purges its local storage with it. To remove synced data, sign in to iCloud and remove Good Margin's container.
If we ever change this policy, the "last updated" date at the top changes too. Material changes will be flagged inside the app before they take effect.
